    ANALOG? or DEGITAL?2026/02/02
    Before starting to draw the main story, I wanted to see what it would be like to draw a manga using analog methods, so I tried practicing by drawing a four-panel comic!

    ...Wow! Even something like the four-panel comic below took me just under half a day.
    Oh man, this is really bad. I was thinking about making a book containing all seven episodes and taking it to Comitia this winter! But I realized that was way too reckless. Sigh...

    As a compromise to complete the work quickly, I thought maybe I should go back to digital after all, and tried practicing drawing in a more analog style digitally, but...
    I tried to recreate the previous analog drawing digitally while retaining the same atmosphere.
    It's good that can capture the subtle nuances of facial expressions in a way that's close to ideal, and can get into the details of clothing and backgrounds, but it doesn't really capture the atmosphere that's unique to analog.

    I've become so reliant on digital tool over the past few years that I'm keenly aware that my pure drawing ability and color composition skills have declined.Drawing with analog tools makes me realize just how little drawing skill I have, and I get so nervous about having to get it right in one shot, that I honestly don't have emotional leeway to enjoy drawing.But more than that, I'm afraid that the options for how I can draw will become narrower, so I think this is probably a point that I shouldn't compromise...Should I think about next year's Comitia instead of this year's...?It's so far away, so far away, I can't see it being completed...I want to draw a sexy dog ​​scene soon (episode 6)!!!
    本編を描き始める前に、そもそもアナログで漫画を描くってどんなもんだろうかと、試しに４コマ漫画で練習してみました！

    …なんと！この下の４コマのような内容でも半日弱はかかりました。
    おいおいこれは非常にまずいぜ。今年の冬のコミティアに、７話収録した本を作って持っていきたい！なんて考えていたのですが、あまりにも無謀すぎることに気づきましたよ。ﾄﾎﾎ…。

    早く完成させる為の妥協案として、やっぱりデジタルに戻すか？とも思い、デジタルでアナログ寄りの作画も練習してみたりしたのですが…。
    前回アナログ練習で描いた絵をデジタルで似たように描いてみたもの
    表情の細かいニュアンスが自分の理想に近い形で出せたり、服装や背景のディティールを凝れることは良いのですが、やはりアナログ特有の雰囲気は出ませんね。

    ここ数年デジタルにかなり頼ってしまっているので、純粋な画力や色彩構成能力が落ちているのを痛感しています。アナログ作業はより自分の画力の無さを目の当たりにしなければならないし、一発で決めなきゃという緊張感 で気が張って、正直描くことを楽しむ余裕がありません。でもそれより自分ができる描画方法の選択肢が狭まっていくのが怖いので、多分ここは妥協したら駄目なところなんだろうなと思います…。今年じゃなくて来年のコミティアを考えるべきか…。遠い、遠すぎる、完成が見えなさすぎる、、、俺は早く犬のお色気シーンが描きてぇんだよ(６話)！！！

    I've become wanting to draw comic on paper with a dip pen instead of digitally, so I've gone back to basics and started practicing inking.
    I want to finish it quickly, and if I keep practicing until I'm satisfied with my drawing skills, I'll probably never finish it, so I'm looking for a way to express it in an appealing way using my current drawing skills and style.

    I do the drafts digitally, but I'm struggling because the feel of the image changes slightly between digital and analog.
    I look at all kinds of comics for reference, from Japanese to American, but what is particularly inspiring me right now are the manga of Osamu Tezuka and Monkey Punch.

    I've reexamined how I create stories, so I'm starting over from scratch...
    I got some advice from a friend who studied manga at university,
    and now I'm proceeding by thinking up the lines first and then deciding the page structure.

    デジタルではなく、つけペンを使って紙に漫画を描きたくなってしまったので、初心に戻ってインクの練習を始めました。
    早く完成させたいですし、そもそも納得のいく画力になるまで練習し続けるとなると永遠に完成しないので、今の画力と画風で魅力的に見せる描き方を模索しています。

    下描きはデジタルでやっているのですが、デジタルとアナログでは線の雰囲気が微妙に変わってしまうので苦労しています。
    日本のものからアメリカの漫画まで色々な漫画を参照していますが、特に今大きく影響を受けているのは手塚治虫とモンキー・パンチの漫画です

    1話「死に抗う者、死相が出っぱなし」のネーム
    それぞれのエピソードのボリュームも全体的に増やしました。
    話の作り方を見直したので各話最初から作り直しています…。
    大学でマンガを学んでいた友人にアドバイスをもらい、まずセリフを考えてから、
    ページの構成を決めていくという形で進めています。

    余談：海外の子供向けカートゥーンアニメとかの、日本語訳の独特性ゆえに生まれる洋題と邦題のギャップが好きなので、私の漫画の各エピソードにも洋題と邦題が存在しています！

    ずっと描いてみたいと思いつつも、本腰を入れて取り組んだことのなかった漫画に挑戦しています。
    同時進行で B20の方にもストーリーをつけようとしているので、とっても長い道のりになりそうです。

    5話「Your Neighbor DogMask」のネームの一部
    ストーリーは大幅に変わるかもしれないし、キャラクターの設定も変えるかもしれない
    なんならそもそも存在してなかったことになるかも。 まあでもこれは Candyの「デモ」ということなので…。
